Dr. Shannon Larrabee grew up in the midwest completing her undergraduate studies at the University of North Dakota and then moved on to Southern Illinois working in human healthcare while her husband completed his master’s degree. She then attended the University of Minnesota completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and Masters of Public Health (MPH) degrees. After veterinary school, Dr. Larrabee completed a small animal rotating internship at Colorado State University staying an additional year as a staff emergency veterinarian. She completed her small and large animal anesthesia residency at Cornell University in July 2023.
Dr. Larrabee is passionate about caring for our furry family members throughout their surgeries as well as alleviating painful conditions and improving quality of life. She enjoys her role as an advocate for our veterinary patients as well as being a support network for her fellow veterinary colleagues. Her professional interests include locoregional techniques, cardiopulmonary physiology, and analgesic management.
In her personal time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, watching movies, exploring breweries, and board games.
